May 2017 my mom was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.

When I found out she had breast cancer that had a significant toll on me knowing she got breast cancer. She received chemotherapy to get rid of cancer.

While she was getting treated she still worked her caregiving job and even played tambourines with her band friends. That helped her beat cancer overall, later on, she got surgery and they had to remove both breasts since cancer turned into stage 4 limpadima breast cancer.

After that she was out of work for the past 4 weeks after the 4 weeks she went back to work and while she recovered from the surgery she was still playing tambourine with the bands.

Later on, she received radiation, that was very hard on her, she had to get radiation daily for 2 months and after that, they did the screening again, and they tested her for breast cancer again, and the testing showed no more breast cancer.

When I found out that was a huge stress relief knowing that I won’t lose her to cancer. She is still feeling weak from the radiation and working fewer hours now but at least I still have her on my side.

The next step for her is to get 1 more surgery which will be the end of March she will once again be out of work for 4 weeks after that everything will be back to normal again till then.

I’m glad to have her and work with her as caregivers.
